Yes, apparently most countries blacklist illegal substances; which is THE most basic security mistake ever. In organic chemistry their are literally billions upon billions of powerful and dangerous new drugs waiting to be discovered, and they're all legal because the governments around the world don't know they can potentially exist. Even though new medication has to go through very strict procedures that takes decades, you can start a business that legally sells designer hard-drugs as 'food supplements' as long as long as you use food-grade ingredients only. It's becoming more affordable to have a professional DIY laboratory and vast oceans of knowledge are available on the internet. At the same time, the mistake in the law is so fundamental and politicians are so stupid and slow that this is starting to become a rather big problem all over the world.

But, But! None of this would happen if they were legal!

I don't understand how any mixture of drugs could cause someone to eat another person. I understand how alcohol may drop a person's inhibitions so they do stuff that the pressures of society may otherwise keep them from doing. For example, after getting loaded on booze you might live out a fantasy wherein you tell off your boss. I get that sort of cause/effect relationship. I don't get the cannibalism thing though. Drug User: I wish the man wouldn't keep me down. Drug Seller: What's the problem, bro? Drug User: I really want to eat some guys face but I'm afraid people will shun me. Drug Seller: Here, try this new drug... If this new drug merely drops inhibitions to a whole new level then we've got people running around with a fantasy life that includes eating other people. This just isn't going anywhere good so I'll drop it for now...

Back in the day I did a lot of drugs but nothing that would make me want to eat, or otherwise hurt anyone.

Listerine? Would never have guessed. I've been painting for years and can tell you the brand of paint from how it makes me feel! :)

You probably have 1/2 dozen people buried in your basement but cannot remember them through the drug induced haze. My recommendation? Spend the day digging up your basement just to make sure.
