I've been running 3-5 miles in the mornings. Not just because I have a fight coming, but because my niece has started cross country track and needs someone to train with. I'm about the only one available. Since I started running, I've been eating more (cause I was friggin starving if I didn't :D ) . I was starting to think I was eating too much so I checked my calorie intake again: Breakfast Shake: 170 beef jerky : 120 PBJ - honey wheat bread 2 slices - 100 penut butter (jiffy natural) - about 100 jelly - about 75 PBJ - 275 Salad - less than 30, but I counted 30 Cheese - 110 dressing - 120 chicken - 280 (ballpark. I overshot on purpose here cause I didn't weigh it) Got hungry a few minutes ago and had a caseys burger , 601 calories I'll have 2 recovery shakes today. One after fitness class, and then one after BJJ. -edit shakes are 280 for 3 scoops, I use 2 scoops instead of 3. I've got the shakes at 187 each from rounding during math -end edit That totals me at 2079 for the day (after the day is done). I add about 80 for crystal light, so I'll say an even 2200 to be safe? My resting rate is 1850. You can add about 300 for my road work, probably around 6-9 for the fitness class. That's 2700 roughly, so I'm still 500 under. That is not counting BJJ. I think this has pretty much assured that I'm still on track for 1.5-2 lbs a week. I've leveled off some recently, but I've visually noticed muscle building so I'm not worried.

If your muscles are building AND you are still losing weight, then you are on a good track. New muscle weighs more than fat so that is a good thing.

A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. Everything weighs 16oz to the pound. Muscle is just more dense

... This being The SoapBox, I thought this was going to turn in to an incredibly inappropriate, yet possibly funny joke/story. That being said, why did you post this in the SB?

I posted in the lounge about having posted this in the soap box without knowing it. I didn't mean to post it here... I still don't think that I did. I think that it was moved by aliens or something.

                    If it moves, compile it

What, really, two things of the same weight, weigh... the same! You don't say! I'd guess he was talking volume not weight...

I think he meant both, that's why I said: Muscle is just more dense.
