So, Scots parents, raised in Scotland, Educated in Scotland, attended the Scottish Bar as a Scottish Lawyer, lives in Scotland, is an MP for a Scottish Constituentcy and speaks with a Scottish Accent and describes himself as Scottish. An accident of birth does not make him English. If you and your wife were holidaying in The Highlands and she gave birth there, then returned home and never had anything to do with Scotland ever again would you describe your child as Scottish?

Of course. Look at all the perks they enjoy north of the border.

Poverty, Pox and Porridge? Oh wait, no, Free Education, Free Medical Care, Free Bridges, Clean Air, Beautiful Countryside, Low Population Density, A Distillery every 300 yards, No International Football heartbreak and a smug intolerance of the English? On the other hand, there are disadvantages...Alex Salmond, Gordon Brown, Dundee and Octopus abuse.

My 2/- One ought to be wary of the cant and bile espoused by the Scylla of socialist Darling and the Charybdis of Wee Eck. The Economic Anaemia that would be caused by a weakening of the cryptoplethoral incomes of the Union would subjugate both parties to a dearth of numismatical transfer between individuals, organisations and countries. Indeed, we should not hyper antagonise our economic symmetry with discord, and our cultural future by paying attention to either side in this petty political arena, where these philoxenous autochthons try to divide our cosmopolitan metropolises with racism and fear. Both sides can be eased with their relevant idiomorphus identities intact, and yet, be whole within the gestaltic form of the Union.

If you are still thinking of becoming an MP... stop: you are way too pompous and full of your own self importance... wait, no, that would make you a good MP. Shit: political lesson 1: use simple language and don't talk down to the people you expect to vote for you.
