I did something last night; something I haven't done for years, alone an in my office with the door shut. I wrote a web page with CSS and everything worked seamlessly on both IE and Firefox. I can't get over the feeling of joy that it brings, knowing that finally I can do interesting stuff in CSS without browser specific addons. [Ok, for the cynics, I know there is still a lot of compatibility issues remaining but for one joyous hour last night, I was free and happy)
Need custom software developed? I do custom programming based primarily on MS tools with an emphasis on C# development and consulting. I also do Android Programming as I find it a refreshing break from the MS. "And they, since they Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs" -- Robert Frost

However, i don't consider CSS as "programming" :) That is why i wonder how CSS can be compared to "wanking off", since it is not as pleasurable as real programming ;P

You have clearly never gotten a layout to actually work. I still remember the first program I ever wrote that compiled the first time when done. It was a Java Console Application to play tic-tac-toe for AI class. That was a great moment. Now it seems so pedestrian with modern IDE's having something compile the first time.

The best part of having a website with zero users is I don't have 10 million members to tick off by hiding the lounge : ) J/k, I share your grief, normally I design IE and FF simultaneously because if I can get those to to work identically the others usually follow suit. Also, I stick to relatively simple design elements, I am not a UI guy so I don't need the emoticons to line up perfectly on the right of a message box or a nice shaded grab area, or a slick click to edit signature. Although, I would prefer to tab from subject to message to post instead of subject to post to message. Probably an issue with my client : )
