Care to divulge why Expert Sex Change doesn't appeal to you anymore?

I had to keep grinding away at answering questions just to keep my membership, but when it came to finding answers I found that CodeProject and StackOverflow were actually much more valuable. Its not that the competition bothered me much, I just thought it would be easier to 'bond' with my colleagues if I were in a more laid back environment. I love helping with Q&A since it provides some excellent learning opportunities that I may find otherwise. Anyway, that's the long and the short of it. Thanks for asking, it actually feels good to tell someone about it.

Good luck. As far as advice:
- Pretend what you are going to do has been done 1,000 times before. That will help you regulate your ego so you don't clutter answers.

- You will run into people who imply your answer is lacking (I'm not naming any names here), but you notice their comments lack real substance or relevance. Try not to let them get on your nerves.

- You may find that you can answer VB.Net questions in the Visual Basic forum, the ASP.Net forum, the Windows Forms forum, the WPF forum, the .Net Framework forum, and Quick Answers. Experiment and see which you prefer to answer in.
- There are other ways to help others with VB.Net. For example, you can suggest to authors how they can improve their VB.Net articles/tips/tricks. You can also edit questions/answers, and report spam/absusive questions/answers.

Well, I'm attempting to move past my admitted 'Lounge Lurker' status. I'll attempt to help with the VB.Net questions. I have some experience with that sort of thing and was a "Master" on Experts-Exchange before deciding that I didn't like them too much anymore, so I've been looking for a new home. Wish me luck, and do you have any advice?
My advice over that already offered is to pick your questions. Don't try to answer everything, and don't beat your head against the wall of stupidity so often that it puts you off answering the intelligent questions. I'd also disagree with one of the points, posting a search engine link can be entirely appropriate if it's a really lazy question and you can turn up answers just by googling the title. These people need to learn about how to use the resources at their disposal, and search engines aren't going to go away or lose relevance when it comes to technical questions (and in fact the search will update with new material when it's available, unlike fixed links in a CP answer).
