I wrote a new web technology this month and wanted to get some feedback. New Link: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/demos/detail/canvascontrols[^] Let me know what you guys think. Thanks :)
Proper links or people no play.

A form with a number of textboxes, not very exciting.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

What is it doing, I saw nothing but a few textboxes and two buttons; as I said hardly exciting.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

its not a form, its a drawing on the canvas acting like a form... imagine drawing your forms however you would like.
-
Perhaps you should have explained that a bit more in your first post.

I'm with Richard. I sat there and watched it for a minute or so, and it didn't do anything. It just sat there and looked like a bunch of textboxes...

Hm, that's really interesting. I do have a question though. How do you debug that?

Thanks, Serverside is the same, client side i have hooks in for overrides and sockets and ajax.
Did you consider writing an article or something for it? Sounds interesting, and I'd be willing to give it a try, when I can get back my spare coding time (hopefully soon enough). And if it works well cross-browser (didn't test it, yet) it may actually be a nice alternative to CSS nightmare

maybe a flash form replacement
That's almost as informative as your original post. If you think (and you obviously do) that this is something new and exciting then write an article round it and post it in the proper place. Then you may get some more reasoned and reasonable feedback. As it stands all I can see is a standard form with a few textboxes, so as a web designer or user I cannot get excited about it.
