Nice to see that some still dare to think big :-D The future of flight[^]

Espen Harlinn Principal Architect, Software - Goodtech Projects & Services AS It’s time for companies to realize that consumers have become very savvy and very demanding. Today’s consumer (B2B or B2C) does their homework, is well informed, and buys…they are not sold. -- Mike Myatt

IT's a repost from earlyer today, but still... I though it looked a lot tlike the IBCM they were trying to build a while back: http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military/4203874[^]

Traveling as fast as 13,000 mph, the warheads are filled with scored tungsten rods with twice the strength of steel. Just above the target, the warheads detonate, showering the area with thousands of rods-each one up to 12 times as destructive as a .50-caliber bullet. Anything within 3000 sq. ft. of this whirling, metallic storm is obliterated. Now I don't know much about rockets, but it seems like it could be an effective missile interceptor.

Problem is how do you separate this misile from an IBCM (the nuclear kind) ? That was the problem, but I still think you are right though :)

We usually talk about hings that everyone can comprehend, witch limits us in many circumastances. Everybody understands that putting a man on hte moon is kind of a big deal, but try to explain some hugh programming algoritm that you just have design you'll quickly find yourself stuck :) This would perhaps be true in the future too, as the overall scores from schools are not exactly brilliant. Like the discussion on TV shows that are popular earlyer today, I mentioned that genius had limitations wile stupidity dont :) Meaning you could make a fortune being a complete idiot, but often not as a genius (true in past times as well, artist, mathematicans, etc) :) Perhaps social media and shows like Big Brother etc. is relly dumming down people :)

While that's true, it's less commong than winning the lottery, which is why they make such big headlines when they do, as it gives truth to the lie that it could happen to everyone. Everyone can't win the lottery, but some do.

Which is why we have stuff like ISO 12207 and ISO 15504, while their main purpose is to help us work together in a better fashion, their most imporant function is to protect us against sheer idiocy. Yes, it's lots, and lots, and lots of paper - but at least you have to think things through - and hopefully you're able to squeeze in a bit of research too, as part of the process.
