How cute! ;P

I don't know which is the worse :wtf:, using a typeface like Comic Sans or using a proportional font for editing code.

This was exactly what I was thinking about :-D

The only reason I would do that would be to minimize the correspondence from certain individuals. Thanks for the idea! :-D
It was broke, so I fixed it.

I've been exchanging e-mails the last couple of days with a hardware engineer in the home office. He uses Comic Sans as the font for his e-mails. In bright blue. X|

I use Andale Mono as my choice of mono-spaced typeface. When I use it in an email to others on the team it is replaced by some curley/scripty kind of typeface -- this could be what's happening.

Nope, we use :shudder: Lotus Notes :throw-up-in-mouth: for e-mail.

Send emails back using Wingdings and Webdings (be sure to switch between them within each mail), and include a lot of pictures and a background-MIDI file. And use the blink tag whenever you want to highlight something (instead of bolding or italicizing it) If you can't beat them, join them. If he can't join you, beat him :suss:

I have unilaterally BANNED Comic Sans in the office. There is a stern talking too, and the waggling of an admonishing finger, for anyone caught using it. (Repeat offenders get an interview without coffee).

What's wrong with a proportional font? I've taken to doing that. If you want fixed alignment for things (which is quite rare) you can use tabs, and it's a lot prettier.
My coding style isn't amenable to using a proportional font.

A couple of questions:
- The hardware engineer has a home office? Now, that's cool!
- Some email clients (like Thunderbird) allow you to set per-user incoming mail preferences. Maybe you could set his prefs to "View mail as plain text"?

While I do know a hardware engineer who has an office in his home, that isn't the case here. The guy I'm talking about in this post is from the Home Office, if you know what I mean. Unfortunately, the e-mail client in this case is Lotus Notes. They include all sorts of buttons and knobs, but I'm afraid they're all tied to the "boot SkyNet" module.
