I always found them to be generic. The best Eurometal is nightwish, hands down

Me either. I love Lacuna Coil, and the new Manowar is good. But I don't listen to all metal, I'll then listen to Joe Bonamassa, or Aerosmith, or ZZ Top, that sort of thing.

Yes, Lacuna Coil is pretty good - and I haven't, as far as I know, listened to Joe Bonamassa - so I'll give it a try.

I always like Helloween[^]. Last time I saw them, they were in a lineup with Megadeth, Kiss, Maiden and Dave Lee Roth. They held their own with the bigger name bands. Mind you, I always did like the twin guitar Euro bands like the Scorpions.

As something a bit off the wall, I'd recommend this band[^], and not just because their Kirk Hamster look alike guitarist is my jam partner. They've just come off tour with Marillion, and are gaining quite a bit of exposure (they are a popular fixture at ROSFEST in America).

Scorps are awesome, and brilliant live. Helloween have a few good songs, but they are very generic, nowadays, IMO.

I recently bought a box set of singles reproductions. It has my favourite, 'I want out', and I am hoping it has a DVD with the clip. I had it on VHS, taped from the telly, in the day
