Being the proud holder of a Premium, not Ultimate (that’s cost cutting for you), MSDN licence I wondered about setting up a development environment (mainly Visual Studio and SQL) on an Azure server. Why would you do that I hear you ask? Well just because you can! Anyone done it? (I presume everyone did this ten years ago and I’m just catching up.)

    All round good guy.

Brendan, are you from Waterford? I ask only as my Grandfather was (now deceased) a James Costigan from Waterford and it is such a rare name.

No no, you're just in time: I have also done that setup and am currently developing a website where you can publish your life and pictures on a virtual wall and make virtual friends who would get your news automatically forwarded.

In that case I'll spin up a server (I do think it is so cool that I can do that) and give it a go.
