I got my .Net comp prizes in the last week - we use the scooter to travel from our end of the building to the printer, but seriously, Age Of Empires II is clearly a plot to kill our productivity. What a cool game !!! I played it all weekend ( when I was supposed to be learning ATL ) and will probably be playing it again tonight. Anyone else here play AOE II ? What other games are popular ? Until AOE II arrived I shunned games in favour of work, but it's just too much fun to make men with swords and go off the kill people.... Christian #include "std_disclaimer.h" People who love sausage and respect the law should never watch either one being made. The things that come to those who wait are usually the things left by those who got there first.

I used to play a lot of AOE II. I've had a lot of therapy since, but I'm OK now X| Derek.

I used to play it all of the time. Now Diablo II gets my spare time. Just whatever you do, do not, DO NOT play online. You will get hooked, and your wife will be very upset. Wayne

Ah man, don't get me started on AOE II. I love it!!! It's the only thing I play, and I play it all the time (at home of course). I started playing against computer opponents but as soon as I had gotten pretty good (I thought), I hit The Zone. Man was I blown away. I was getting killed left and right. Playing against people is usually a lot more intense and difficult than the computer. But it's also more fun, especially if you play in teams where you can chat with your teammates and stratigize. Whenever you can, get a hold of the Expansion edition which has some nice enhancements and more civilizations to play with. If you do, let me know so we can team-up online. Regards, Alvaro

Why kill people with swords when you can have a machine gun? :) Everybody(guys) in our office has Counter-Strike installed and we usually play it after work. CStrike is a pretty old technology (in another word, cheap!), but it's FUN! Don't like your co-workers? Just get a shotgun and blow his head off!! (Don't do this in real life tho :) )

That is why I got my wife hooked on Diablo 1. She loves the game to and when it was time to upgrade my PC I made sure that she could have one to play Diablo on too. She loves D2 and the expansion as well. Of course so does my 5 year old. :) Steve Maier, MCSD

Luck for me, M$ goofed and sent the expansion instead of AOE II. So I ended up with both, and a free Sidewinder. I need to set it up at work one night, and then you're on. My timezone is +10GMT and I'd be able to play between about 7 pm and 12 pm, unless it was a weekend. The Counterstrike revolution went through this office big time about a year ago. We played it to death, and eventually bought a couple of copies when it became available to buy locally. I personally don't like first person perspective games, because they make me want to spew, but CS was an exception, although I always sucked at it. I like AOE II better because I like the strategy aspect as opposed to having to shoot myself ( I am not very co-ordinated, disproving the whole 'games improve hand-eye co-ordination argument I clung to when people hassled me for the time spent playing Apple ][/C64/Amiga games in my youth ).
