Just to add to the confusion, you may want to consider JetBrains AppCode.

I haven't used story boarding (I'm developing games) but love AppCode as mentioned above. It's much easier for me to use as a vs2010 user by trade than Xcode and is 100% compatible with Xcode - ie you can use either tool on the same project so, for example, I use xcodes plist editor but appcodes code editor.
