It is falling heavily here in Sub-Tropical Luton. I am going to be magnanimous and tell the elves that, once they do the post and any little urgent jobs, they can bugger off for the weekend. It looks like it is going to snow for at least 24 hours! I am a good boss.

I'm 'working from home'. My daughter's school is open, as it always is, but as we live in a village and not the city the school is in, I make the decision about the safety of getting there, and getting there would not be a problem. Getting her home again if this continues might well be so she is home too. The puppy is absolutely loving the snow. My missus is loving him racing in from the garden then jumping into bed with her to dry and warm up less.

It's been snowing here since about five o'clock, and everything has a small coating - about an inch or so when I took Herself to work. But the weather forecast is threatening 8 to 10 inches which will be fun, fun, fun - you could feel the traction control and ABS working when I did a three point turn after dropping her off! There are times when I think I should have kept the Shogun, but then I visit the petrol pump and think "nah!"

Mrs Wide is working till lunch time, then coming home before the trains are totally FUBAR. The girls are at school; missing the snow in the garden. I have just taken too long to go to the Doctor and get back because every Mofu has decided that today is a good day to be out. How come there is more traffic when we're told not to drive? :confused:

Easy does it here in Chavtown. A few millimeters are on the ground. It looks quite pretty. Abart 'arf an 'our ago I saw a robin on the fence between us and the school playing field. Now, that was a pretty sight. :)

We had a Robin here yesterday. Well, we had 9/10ths of a Robin, the cat brought it in sans head. If you are into making home-made 3D (slightly gory) Christmas cards I can retrieve it from the bin and send it to you?
