It is falling heavily here in Sub-Tropical Luton. I am going to be magnanimous and tell the elves that, once they do the post and any little urgent jobs, they can bugger off for the weekend. It looks like it is going to snow for at least 24 hours! I am a good boss.

A nice white coating on everything here in Oxfordshire. It never fails to astonish me how every year infrastructure grinds to a halt when it snows. Schools closing, people not going in to work or going home early, problems with trains ... it's just ridiculous. It snows in winter, that's normal. I think it is getting worse, I never remember missing a day of school because of snow, though I do remember making snowmen and having snowball fights in the playground/on the sports field. It should be compulsory to have a set of winter tyres, it's useless drivers that break most things.

Mrs Wide is working till lunch time, then coming home before the trains are totally FUBAR. The girls are at school; missing the snow in the garden. I have just taken too long to go to the Doctor and get back because every Mofu has decided that today is a good day to be out. How come there is more traffic when we're told not to drive? :confused:
