Hi, Just prepare to get involved in graphic design field. I have some question: 1. Why Ms. Publish is not popular like adobe indesign or quarkexpress? 2. Between coreldraw and adobe illustrator, which one is prefer for design business card? 3. Between quarkxpress and adobe indesign, which one is prefer to choose to design a book? Thank, Kanel

    No CMYK

This pretty much all MS Publisher is good for.

I have several publisher clients, and they all use Adobe Creative Suite for everything.

If you can't write an entire book using LaTeX, you can't call yourself a technical writer.

And design the cover using GIMP.

What you are basically saying is that all your books have gimps...

For some reason, reading this immediately made me think of a scene in Pulp Fiction...

Who is this woman called Ms.Publish? When she marries, will she be Mrs Publish, or will she take her husband's name. (I believe he is called Mr. Andy B. Dammed).

                      - adobe products are popular with all-mouth-and-trousers w@nkers who know nothing about computers, and who believe it when adobe tells them that their products are for "the discerning". - Quark express is popular with Unix/Linux-heads, who believe that only stone-age tools should be used for anything to do with computers (because anyone who can't do everything from the command line is an idiot that you can snigger at, as they walk away with the head cheerleader). - Publish is camped somewhere in the middle, between those two extremes -- but there's no-one in that camp to use it.

Neither. You go to ProntaPrint for business cards. Doing it on your own is not cost-effective.

Neither. You use your brain to design a book. The software for implementing your design adds nothing.
