Damn, time to change web site provider

Right now I'm applying (unsuccessfully so far! :( ) for jobs... And... yesterday my blog was down, today my email is down! Grr... Any recommendation for an affordable web server host (with MVC4 and SqlServer)?

I can't recommend PlanetSmb.com. My website was down the other day too, and will probably move that website to Azure (or just get rid of it entirely).

Damn.... I heard that Azure was quite expensive.. (mind you, ~1 year ago) is it any better now?

If you don't need a database, you can get the cost down to around $10-$15/month. Though, I haven't played with their new "Azure Web Sites" option (I use an extra small web role instance), which is apparently free. You can play with the pricing calculator here. Also note that pricing is very granular (down to the hour). If you only have your website up for an hour in a month, you only pay for that hour.

Oh, and one caveat with the free option. I think you can't attach your own domain to it, so it would reside at a URL that is something like myWebsite.AzureSites.net (I don't remember the actual domain, but you get to define the subdomain). With the paid options, you can point your own domain at the subdomain so site visitors don't know it's hosted on Azure.

I have looked at that site before, and I think it is rather nice. It might work for you.

No, no... I really mean what I wrote. It is the best environment you can find to publish .net apps and it's completely free. I used it before when I had to arrange some POC demos to clients! It's really great.
