Too many feels

Today was my last day at work. I'm starting a new one on Friday but walking away for the last time was hard as I've worked with some really great people. Any tips on how to deal with the seperation anxiety? /Fredrik

I did the same last summer. Just keep in touch with the people who are important. Every couple weeks or so I get together with some of them for lunch to catch up. It helps that their office is only a block away from where I am now, though.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

If you're looking forward to the new job you should try champagne. Your old mates shouldn't mind.

Did you see each other outside work - and not just in the pub after a hard day? If you did, then keep that up. If you didn't, then probably LinkedIn/Google+/FarceBook is best - you aren't actually friends...

There are a few former work mates that I still keep in touch with and have the occasional lunch with. I have friendships that I've made that extend beyond the workplace with some great people, for instance, I met one of my current band members through someone who I used to work with when we get together play music.
It was broke, so I fixed it.

I tried that. It made matters worse.

Yeah, it's probably the solution I'll go for. I was just hoping someone knew a way that didn't take as much effort :)

It helps to fill the void with some addiciton. For example, crack. Or if you are really desperate, Objective-C.

It's Cardinal McSin isn't it?

I am dissapoint. It's actually grammatically correct, you just need to spend more time on the internet. :)

Keep in touch with your good mates there. I keep in touch with two really good colleagues from two years ago and I regularly have lunchtime coffee with the blokes at another company a couple of miles up the road from where I work now. It's nice to keep in touch and you never know, you might work with them elsewhere again. :)

Just stay in touch with the people you liked. I still speak to people I worked with 25 years ago - maybe a once or twice a year but that's fine. Also, use LinkedIn - that's a good way to maintain a network of colleagues/friends form work.
