- Trying to access an uninitialised Java variable will result in a null-pointer exception -- or worse, if you try to access it with a crowbar. - Oracle sucks. - VB is a perfectly good language, but everyone hates it. Kinda like the French, except they're not good. - Cows are for dinner, dogs are for something else (unless I'm really hungry). - If you leave one clock at the top of a mountain, and another at the bottom, they will not keep time with each other. Computers are far better at this, in that they don't need the mountain. - If God were a woman, there wouldn't be any spiders. Is that enough to be going on with?

I hope you enjoy your time here, and wish you many happy hours discovering great answers to your questions. Please keep your technical questions to the proper forums, and your social activities here in the Lounge. If you mistakenly mix those two roles up, you're going to get flamed to a crisp. Isn't there something you can do about it? Drugs? Hypnotism? I'd go to the ends of the Earth to forget it, if I were Welsh. How about surgery? If your memory's too long, can't they chop a bit out and join the ends back together? But some things will never change: The Scots hate the English, the English hate the Welsh, the Welsh hate everybody, and the Irish hate each other. It's pretty clear that the UK was used as the template for the European Union.
