I just popped in to the Quick Answers forum (twice) to see if there are any easy questions about C# that I might be able to answer. The response both times was: "Sorry, no entries were found matching tags C#, C# My God, have they all switched to VB.Net? :omg:

Everyone's too busy trying to access uninitialised variables in Java.

Why pick on java? I use it and like it. An uninitiated variable will cause problems in any language.

I believe they've been trapped by their dangling pointers.

Because it's time someone picked on something other than VB.

Because Krakatoa complained about being the wrong side of it.

Without Option Explicit, VB will initialise the variable using a best guess; IIRC as an Empty Variant. With just a Dim each type had a different default.
