What I am curious to know is what people do with the time between building / testing / waiting for a page to load or IIS to recycle. Typically its between 30 seconds - 2 minutes depending on your project and configurations but what do you find yourself doing in this time? Do you sit blanky at the screen day dreaming, find some other work or thought process to briefly keep your mind occupied, read your emails or perhaps read part of an article? / other?

It never takes that long for me. Are your projects that large or is your computer that bad?

I code a different project and then, whilst it compiles, get back to the first. If they're both compiling I start a new project immediately. Also, I make up stories for posting in The Lounge.

Trying is right... not sure you can really read a lot in 30 seconds to 2 minutes. If I were to do that, I would find it is the end of the day, and the build or whatever completed ages ago
