I'm not sure. He was entertaining but, W is aslo o so funny. I personaly would have loved to seen junior and Gore debate more. I never did understand what the whole point was, but then I never saw the point behind the more recent Diana's Butler 'scandal' (or Diana for that matter), the whole Peter Mandelson 'scandal', or that thing with Blair's wife and that Aussie con man -- sorry, that Aussie con man 'scandal'. That's news? :wtf:

But, though no one really expects politicians at that level to be free of vice, we at least expect them to be better at hiding it than the average joe on the street, and certainly better at handling it when they're found out. Clinton had plenty of chances to come out of that whole mess with at least a shred of integrity, and he pissed them all away. It's embarrassing - "Leader of the Free World" & all that, and he can't even pull off a half-assed cover-up on a pathetic little affair with an intern. :-O I'm not gonna argue 'bout the rest - anyone who didn't know Clinton was scum by the time he was elected in '92 had their hands over their eyes; acting surprised about it was just lame. :zzz:

I didn't see why it needed to be such major news for so long and for the reasons that were always underlying the issue as seen from the outside. I'm afraid you're probably right in this regard. It always bothered me when these pundits would get on TV and talk about "it's not about the sex" and then just keep talking about the sex. I lean more to the right than the left but I kept pulling my hair out when it seemed like they could only find stupid people to speak for the right of center crowd.

About the republican bit: I read a book by Michael Moore (stupid white men) www.amazon.com[^]and I was really surprised at how far right even Bill Clinton was :omg: (the book's mostly about the current administration but Mr Clinton doesn't get away with anything) . Presidents really don't have much free time to themselves. Even their vacations are usually filled with work. There are also a very limited number of camera ops. You have speeches, bill signings (for show), helicopter pad shots, and shots from Camp David or their normal residence. (FYI: you might be seeing shots from Camp David and thinking they are the ranch. He does like to go to his ranch a lot. But it isn't practical to go there on a regular basis. Camp David has long been a second residence for the president to get away from Washington for a weekend.) As far as office hours go, I doubt there is such a thing. As far as flaming goes, nah. Presidential vacations have long been a source for "see, he doesn't care about the country" type political fodder. It is mostly ignored these days. :) Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.
