If Bill Clinton runs now, will he win?

Its people like you who reelected the idiot in the first place. He will go down in history right there with that other Democrat stalwart - Jimmy ( I can build a house ) Carter. Two completly different people - one who would lie to the Pope and the other who probably never told a lie in his life. Just that neither one could run a country - one relied on polls and the other on the Bible. Ok, it seems I wasn't too clear. I didn't mean I didn't care about what he did (the lying, the perjury), but of the way it was handled in the press. Don't tell me the average joe gave a damn about the lying or the perjury -- they just wanted the legal crap to end so they could read the "how the president did me in his private jet" spread in [insert US equivalent of the Daily Mirror here], and the "how he sent bodyguards to steal my [tapes/dress/photos]" special on NBC.

About the republican bit: I read a book by Michael Moore (stupid white men) www.amazon.com[^]and I was really surprised at how far right even Bill Clinton was :omg: (the book's mostly about the current administration but Mr Clinton doesn't get away with anything) . How is the office hours of the president decided? I see on TV that GWB is at his ranch most of the time (I may be wrong). Obviously, it does not affect the way he works. Why not? He is the best republican president you will ever going to get. ;-) As far as the rest of world is concerned, any idiot will be better than GWB.

Presidents really don't have much free time to themselves. Even their vacations are usually filled with work. There are also a very limited number of camera ops. You have speeches, bill signings (for show), helicopter pad shots, and shots from Camp David or their normal residence. (FYI: you might be seeing shots from Camp David and thinking they are the ranch. He does like to go to his ranch a lot. But it isn't practical to go there on a regular basis. Camp David has long been a second residence for the president to get away from Washington for a weekend.) As far as office hours go, I doubt there is such a thing. As far as flaming goes, nah. Presidential vacations have long been a source for "see, he doesn't care about the country" type political fodder. It is mostly ignored these days. :) Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. Can I ask why? From an outsider point of view he seems to have done a lot more for the us that any other president of recent times.... especially on the economic side of things... I'm not sure. He was entertaining but, W is aslo o so funny. I personaly would have loved to seen junior and Gore debate more. Those things were so damn funny; I'll never forget Gore's sigh and lurching or just the blank/stupid stares on W's face. Classic But I, being poor, have only my dreams. When the flu becomes pneumonia, they can cure that with a shot. - Roger WrightThe problem is Bill didn't do anything during his presidency. The recovery started prior to his presidency and the current recession started during his presidency. The bulk of the economic growth started when the republicans took both houses back. But they really didn't do much either. It was more psychological than anything else. Then you had the huge internet boom than *snicker* Gore invented. Lots of things went right for Clinton. He did a lot of talking, but never really did anything. He would always talk about all these new great proposals and never do them. He helped to get Khato going but never really intended on passing it. Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

That's nice, however AdamUK wasn't reading that book to learn about US politics.
