It - that's my car. It's now about 8 months old and since perhaps 3 months it doesn't stop rattling. Where? Seems to be around my right back-wheel. :confused: What is it? Got some new parts, has been driven by many people on good and bad streets and everytime I picked it up it's been well-cleaned. But the noise remains. And that makes me really cheerless.:( Anybody out there undergoing a comparable bad situation??
More serious answer... Lauren mentioned CV joints, but I doubt that is the case. Any mechanic, even a total waste-of-a-wrench mechanic, would pickup a CV joint problem, it is easy to spot. As mentioned other possibles: - Wheel balance - Bearing problem - Something loose in the boot (check that spare wheel! don't laugh, do it) - Something in the door (some makes are known to have poor window winders which snap and then rattle around in the door, annoying) If you haven't already then take it to the people who made the car. It will be more expensive, but if anybody they are the best able to figure it out. If you have done that... then it most likely is something very minor. Anything serious would have been spotted. A loose nut in the body that a mechanic left behind. A portion of the bumper not bolted on tightly enough. Something in the actual tyre (heard of cases where the valve has fall into the tyre. They put in a new valve but don't get the old one out. Drives the driver nuts.) Also remember where you hear the sound coming from is not neccesarily where the sound is being produced. I had something rattling around in my engine bay. It sounded like it was coming from the back seats. Good luck.

I thought my shocks were broken or something, from the rattling. Then I checked the trunk, and my snowshoes were touching the metal side of the trunk:rolleyes:

Drives the driver nuts.) I've ever taken it to the AUDI - garage, because still it's all guaranty. But you're really good ... your bumper - theory is really close to our first assumption, a loose not at the bumper (but the problem still remained after tightening it). What skiing?:confused: These aluminum snowshoes are for my military training. Hard to walk on. (if you've never seen them picture BIG oval-ended tennis rackets, not the round ones).
