A friend of mine is planning to go to work to Germany. It seems that there are good offers related to his field of expertise. He asked me which would be a good salary for an automation engineer / robot + PLC + CNC programmer for a medium sized company in that country. Any of you can help me to help him? I would like to know which would be a normal salary, a good one and a really nice one. Or a good web page which could give me good information about that. Thank you in advance! :thumbsup:

Can i go with your friend please? I have studied German , its rusty but i will manage. My major is Mechatronics and Robotics too bad i cant find job related to this field here. I will travel in one of the briefcases. :D Please, take meeeee :) P.s i cant cook, clean and etc....

No figures for that particular field of work, depends strongly on location, size and type of company and other factors. Generally: the net - and even the gross - pay for an employee position may look low compared to - where is he from? - since - there may be mandatory deductions health case, unemployment and nursing insurance and pension - for thesem the employer pays a significant part on top of the gross pay you communicate
