Not so, Vodka has a quite distinctive taste, and it is possible to tell the difference between certain makes.

I think you are confusing it with gin... :suss:

How can you seriously say that vodka is crap? Plain vodka without added flavours doesn't taste of anything. All taste the same. It's not woth drinking until you add something to the vodka - unless you just want to get drunk in a hurry of course.

Lily Tomlin, ActressOddly enough, most of the vodka we get here in the US is bad. My fiancee's brother-in-law is from Russia. He went to a restaurant and ordered a glass of vodka to have with dinner. They brought him a shot. He corrected them that he wanted a real glass, and to bring the bottle like they would a bottle of wine. Then he complained about how bad it tasted in comparison to 'real vodka'. As for person testing, a buddy of mine was in Russia for a bit when he did a semester abroad and brought back a bottle. The stuff was smooth, no burn, no flavor, and VERY strong. Better than Grey Goose and a fraction of the price if you excluded the traveling to Russia part. The problem is plain vodka here in the US isn't the same as plain vodka elsewhere. It is like Marlboro Reds, the US version is different than the EU which is different than the Russian versions. They are different even though they are the same style, from the same brand.

I recently got a bottle of Green Mark[^] - it was on special offer for Father's day - £10 rather than £16.99, so I thought it was worth a try, and it's good
It's well known that if all the cat videos and porn disappeared from the internet there would be only one site left and it would be called whereareallthecatvideosandporn.com
That's a new one, haven't seen it anywhere. Maybe available on the internet...

Lily Tomlin, ActressIts like oysters (not that I like them, just a comparison). Oddly enough, I get less toxicated on vodka than on wine. Most wines make me sick, even with the lower alcohol content. If you really want to get plastered, try vodka with cola. I only made that mistake once. X|

I much prefer GIN to vodka. I like the GIN version with a Vermouth, like Martini.
The signature is in building process.. Please wait...

Won't it be caused by the sulphites they contain? See those articles: http://www.beekmanwine.com/prevtopbd.htm[^] http://www.thekitchn.com/sulfites-in-wine-necessary-or-100878[^] In my village we produce really good wines, but I guess it is too far away from your house just to try it... but of course you could try to drink a sulphite free wine when you got the opportunity to do it. It's a pity missing the pleasure of a good wine to eat... :sigh:

If it's got to the point where you need to chew, it's not wine any more.[^]

Recommendations? Gibley's turned out to be crap. Smirnoff is good but some variety would be nice. (Straight from the freezer. No cocktails please. OT - how come c*ck gets censored but not with a tail?)
From experience, I would recommend; Zubrowska Bison Grass[^] Grey Goose[^] Russian Standard[^] ...personally, I would most strongly suggest trying both the Bison Grass and Grey Goose with Russian Standard and a most excellent fall back position... literally ;P

Lily Tomlin, ActressIt's a myth that Vodka is tasteless - it's relatively less taste-intensive compared to whisky/brandy/rum/gin/tequila but it has a taste.
