Every time I think the VAT program I wrote is finalised, completed, working, error free and perfect... It fails when the Sales less Purchases figure is LESS than the amount of VAT Claimed. Back in I go... (Thankfully it was written in VB and I managed to comment it well, it was done so long ago)

My comments are always directed at the poor s.o.b. who has to fix it. Inevitably it is me. Fortunately I have a bad memory (at least for my foul coding deeds) and must document.

Gotta love the error handling, if it goes wrong ignore and carry on  (got me out some holes, probably created a mess for the SOB that had to fill them!)

:(( I didn't realise I posted it! I was distracted by a graphics problem on a test PC. The sentence was meant to be "Your saying your hacks are worse than mine, I don't think so!" but thought better of it and tried to delete it... failed miserably, is this how today will pan out, failure after failure?

Probably. But now you know that, you can do things a little more slowly, more deliberately, more carefully. So it isn't all bad.
