    In my office one java developer and one .net developer is arguing on this top what the joomla is actually. a framework, or a language. But when i google it then i find it as a cms. I am stuck in between them cant able to stop this argue... :( :confused: but enjoying both of them :-\ :laugh: :-D ;P

      Let me guess, the .net developer was saying it is a framework, and the java guy was saying it's a language right? They are both correct in their own way... ;P

            hmm strange, i have build a joomla site years ago, and can't remember that it comes with an own language. But Typo3 has one: Typoscript.

                  Actually vice versa! The java guys are the ones, who don't start any project without introducing a new heavyweight framework firstly.

                    Joomla is definitely a CMS. Main advantage of this CMS if how easy is developing addons (or plugins). The language used for building Joomla extensions is PHP. And of course there is a framework for it. But Joomla is, absolutely, a CMS.

                      Last time I looked (2008), I considered it CrAP. WordPress not quite as CrAPpy. :) But yeah, it's a CMS.
