Hello everyone!!! Thanks for all your replies as they all help me. Much of the replies was, I should drop Visual basic 6.0 which I accepted. Now, I have decided to advance on visual studio 2010. I hope this programming language will be ok for softwares development if I devote my time?

Visual Studio 2010 isn't a language, its an IDE, I assume you are wanting to program in VB.NET? The technology isn't going anywhere for a while so if you devote the time then yes I would say you would get your value out of it. But don't pigeon-hole yourself again. Expand your horizons, pick up Java, C++, or C# as well, and try to stay on top of technology as it comes out and you won't end up in this situation again.

You can still continue to work on VB.Net in Visual Studio 2010.

Thank you very much Ron Beyer for your advice. I think I should be using java, C++ if possible C#. Actually, I was using JBuilder console to write programs, but when I tried the visual class, it was something else. Please do you have any help to render on how to write java programs using jbuilder visual class. Note, I can create the interface but the problem is how to write code that can trigger an event. If you can give me how to do this then I believe I will have a pillar. For example if I'm to write a program that will have two textbox and two buttons which aim is to calculate the sum of two numbers, how can I achieve this using java visual class. Any help is 100% accepted. Thanks in advance!

You can learn how to write Java programs from the Java Tutorials[^]. If you want to use a nice IDE to help generate parts of your code then try http://www.eclipse.org/[^] or https://netbeans.org/[^].
