Keeps vanishing. No error, no nothing, it just goes along with any uncommitted changes. I'm learning that I actually do quite a bit between each compile as when it happens it takes about 20 minutes to get back to where I was.

I have the opposite problem, VS2010 at work. Keeps vanishing. No error, no nothing, it just goes along with any uncommitted changes. I'm learning that I actually do quite a bit between each compile as when it happens it takes about 20 minutes to get back to where I was.

ctrl s works in VS! I am in the habit of saving so often (having worked with so many crappy IDEs) that when this happens I lose very little thankfully.

Run it from the command line and see what messages pop out on the console.
