Very popular in French speaking countries. I don't like it myself, I think it adds too much of a bitter note.

The only instant messaging I do involves my middle finger.

That should be an interesting task: enlightening the French about food and drink...

When I do drink tea, it's always straight from China (usually either Pu-Erh or LongJing) -- none of that English "we finally find out what plant it is, so let's grow it in India and process it in five minutes through a crappy factory, rather than treat it with respect!" rubbish. You are aware that Earl Grey was invented by someone who realised that the English-style tea was disgusting, so added some of his wife's perfume to it, to smother the horrible flavour? Teas with added perfume or fruit extract may have a place in the world, but my cup ain't that place.

Oooh, where to start? Australian wine is (on average) better than French wine. Some French wines are superb, but the quality varies far, far too much. The food in Britain can be (surprisingly) better than in France - not always, but it can. The range is certainly a whole lot better. French coffee isn't actually very good - it has too much chicory, and is frequently over roasted. That should start a small war!

Well, actually, until now, I thought you were joking. I did not think this would go that far. This is national offense. This is trolling at the extreme. I am going to slam you with my baguette ( Just give me a few seconds to prepare my white handkerchief first).

Say what? I've been to both countries (sic) as a visitor to both and consider this statement as heresy and/or nonsense.

This part may be true, in that British food is so terrible that the good restaurants are run by people from other countries.
