What does it take to become an Apple fanboy?
-
I have used iPhone, iPad and Macbook Air since last 4 years. And I failed to see how Apple products are turning people into fan-boy. The 200+ features page on Apple.com didn't convince me, so I tried to search for Reviews on what's actually new? And I found this article (on The Verge Homepage)[^]. Let me list out the title phrases from that article. - Even this early, Mavericks is fast and stable. (What do you mean by early? They released it. Oh wait the review is from June, on today's front page) - Mavericks is worth the upgrade for in-notification replies alone (Sure who can live without in-notification replies) - Using multiple displays works like it always should have (This is OS 'X' means 10th major version, it should) - Nearly everything that needed fixing has been tended to (This is just scary statement) So what I learned after reading this is, Apple lied about 200+ features. I am back to where I was.

It requires that you have more money than sense and a bigger than usual ego. Unfortunately it is quite common.

And this is different from Microsoft how? I have Apple devices and all flavors of Windows. Apple does some things better and some worse than MS. I just never drank the cool-aid from either place. I seem to cuss Windows (Microsoft) more but hey, I support it at work. Don't know that ya have to be fan-boy to like something

I guess it takes something that you enjoy done well. For example I used to be a NeXTSTeP fan, it was awesome!!! Then they were bought by apple and took 2 years to release .. OS9, meh... (that was back in the days) Meanwhile Microsoft released .NET! Ho.... it's when I become MS fan, .NET is awesome! (Mmm... I should think of that, wanting to like WinRT now, what is wrong with me? Have I been C++ brain washed?) As for Apple fan, I guessed they loved apple when it had first decent phone and tablets? As for Google, maybe people loved it when it introduce first decent and affordable phone?
My programming get away... The Blog... DirectX for WinRT/C# since 2013! Taking over the world since 1371!

A Fanboy is like someone that is in love with a gold digger and sees all the good things but ignores all the bad things. Except that is worse, as at least the person in love with the gold digger do not try to force others into loving the gold digger as well.

I guess it's all about having to justify your badly substantiated choice. Why can't people just say that they prefer the UI. Coincidentally that's my reason for not upgrading to Windows8. Having to use all programs in fullscreen mode on a PC is a no go to me. (Hey MS people, repeat after me: A PC is not a tablet, A PC is not a tablet, A PC is not a tablet...)
Be excellent to each other. And... PARTY ON, DUDES! Abraham Lincoln
