I sense a gardener among us :) I am once again attempting to keep a potplant happy, not as easy as it sounds. Between my husband and I we tend to kill them with too much love. We've now had 3 cacti make it through 6 months and flourish, so last Saturday we were brave and adopted a potplant again :-O Any advice gratefully accepted...

But I am fantastic in bed! And there are gorgeous women in all the houses I pass. And it would be wrong to leave them unsatisfied! So spam is the only way... - Paul Watson

Ok I must have missed that in the Southern Hemisphere Newsletter. I always thought it was roughly Spring = 1 month, Summer = 5 months, Autumn = 1 month, Winter = 5 months.

In Bullhead City we have only two seasons - Christmas and Summer. Somehow Christmas must have gotten cancelled, though, as it's been unreasonably warm all winter. I actually had to wear a light jacket last week while taking a walk at 1:00 AM - quite surprised me, as I assumed that the cold season got skipped this year. Boys and girls, boys and girls. Not only is it the last day of the month, the potential onset of spring and a Friday, it is also my last day of work after 10 months away from home. Tomorrow I return to my beloved in Cornwall, and also the house I bought in December. Ah sweet end of contract! How I love thee..... Jase :rose:

... but today is also officially the last day of winter in the northern hemisphere! :jig: Ok, ok, I know they are predicting rain for tomorrow (first day of spring), and even heavier rain for Sunday - but who cares! Spring is almost upon us, and that can only bring better days! (or is this SA totally naive? :~ ). Damn I'm looking forward to the summer :-D

Sounds like you start easy-living now. ;) Beside that you're a really happy guy cause many people would celebrate the beginning of a contract instead of it's end...

Ah, yes, I intend to take a month off. I have only had 2 weeks off since last April, and frankly, my blood pressure has suffered because of it. I am right looking forward to the rest. You are right though, I am mainly a very happy person, so much so, that I often think I have been unfairly blessed (unfair for others of course, who are not so lucky!). What a lucky person I am. :rose:;) You are all welcome to a slice of my peace, especially in these globally hectic moments...... :rose::rose::rose::cool: Jase :rose:

hee hee, not quite, thought just before Christmas, a chap who I had been chasing for work telephoned me and asked me to start 2 later, but I had to turn him down (as don't like breaking contracts). I told him I would be available in March, and I kept in touch, he has said to come and see him sometime in March. Its a permy job, but the romance of contracting (huh!) has dimmed. I wouldn't mind joining a small company and have a bit of security for awhile. The job I initially went for (though have no experience in) is C++ with OpenGL, so I wrote to the guy and told him I was learning C# and had written an asteroids game with it (available on this site somewhere). I suspect I may end up doing ASP for him though, so I will push the company in the .net direction if I can.... heh, recently got hold of c# libraries for DirectX9, along with some code for C# and OpenGl, so if I get into that company I am really going to push for it. Jase :rose:

We had another divorce hearing today (this one to discuss the financial issues) and we've managed to agree a settlement - so I'm certain I'll have the money for surgery soon.
