Yanks are only bad in the context of North vs. South, I think at this point in our history most people are blissfully unaware of the Brits (and their previous colonies) tendency to refer to us as Yanks. I would rather be called a Texan - that most superior form of American. If called a yank it had best be done at long range. Do Brits like being called a "Limey ".
