We train them how to hijack airplanes, buses, and trains? So you're saying we're terrorists too? Come on Ed, you can do better than that.

Haven't seen any radical American's smashing aircraft into Arab buildings lately... did I miss something on the news? Talk about revisionism.... The US isn't perfect, but we're way above SH, course if yah disagree you are always free to say so here, in Iraq they cut your tongue out;P Uptight Ex-Military Republican married to a Commie Lib - How weird is that?

A-bombs don't kill people, people kill people. The Germans bombed London, the French designed the guillatine, the Soviets killed more than Hitler, the English raped and pillaged Ireland and Scotland, the Spanish killed thousands of native americans, the Turks used to lob rotting, diseased corpes into European cities under siege, the Japanese raped and killed thousands of Chinese, the Romans enslaved the people they conquered, and on and on throughout history... Humans suck. Not just Americans, all of us. No one is innocent. We all deserve to rot in hell for all eternity. That being said, those of us who value freedom, law, and the values given to us by God, should never condone nor brush aside the acts of madmen. Thank God, we have men and women in this country who have, and are willing to, sacrifice their lives for Ed and people like him. Without them, the world would be a rotting sesspool of evil (more so than it is now of course).

more than one source would be good (human source, not web source to the same person). if there are clear, verifiable links from Iraq to 9/11, then i think GWB isn't doing enough - invasion is too good for them. but, i'd like to see some more evidence. -c

Am I the only one who sees the irony in the fact that this is being reported by PBS and NPR? For those of you on other continents or in countries other than the USA (you too Ed), PBS is the Public Broadcasting System, NPR stands for National Public Radio. NPR is a fairly nasty thorn in the side of conservatives. The reason is that PBS/NPR is a fairly liberal organization, which in and of itself is not "bad" - the thorn comes from the fact that NPR recieves public funding, read that as saying, "my taxes help pay for it even though I don't agree with the opinions they espouse". For this to be available from the NPR site means they find it overwhelmingly credible. But Jason, no matter what the facts are - "this business of anger directed at terrorists just doesn't feel right." Mike

Editor's Note: Although U.S. officials acknowledge terrorists were trained at Salman Pak, they say it is unlikely that these activities were related to the Sept. 11 attacks. It should also be noted that the two defectors interviewed for this report have been brought to FRONTLINE's attention by members of the Iraqi National Congress (INC), a dissident organization seeking to overthrow Saddam Hussein.
