Yup. It's here. "Children of Dune" is scheduled to air here today. The network has programmed it to follow immediately the showing of "Dune." There were two versions of "Dune," one being slightly less entirely unrelated to the book than the other, and I'm not yet sure which version will be shown. But I'm looking forward to seeing just how badly they manage to distort the sequel. In preparation I reread "Children of Dune" last weekend... this should be a wonderful way to waste a rainy (yes, rainy!) Sunday afternoon!:omg: It is ok for women not to like sports, so long as they nod in the right places and bring beers at the right times.

Paul Watson, on Sports - 2/10/2003Hmm.. is it a pilot for a new series or is it a miniseries? I haven't heard of "Children of Dune" before, but then again, I don't get to see your commercials. :) -- Shine, enlighten me - shine Shine, awaken me - shine Shine for all your suffering - shine

Paul Watson, on Sports - 2/10/2003Cool. Is that a sequel to the 5 odd hour miniseries of Dune ? I watched that and as a result have read all the books. Am finishing 'Heretics of Dune' right now. God Emperor was a cowpat of a book, but I reckon that Heretics is the best of the lot. I'm unsure if I should go on to read the prequels, seeing as he did not write them. Have you read them ? Are they any good ? Christian NO MATTER HOW MUCH BIG IS THE WORD SIZE ,THE DATA MUCT BE TRANSPORTED INTO THE CPU. - Vinod Sharma Anonymous wrote: OK. I read a c++ book. Or...a bit of it anyway. Paul Watson, on Sports - 2/10/2003Sorry to hijack your thread, but if you get Channel 4 (UK) and have been living in a box the last five years and thus haven't already seen it, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels starts at 10.

Paul Watson, on Sports - 2/10/2003Dune (on the SciFi channel) is the 6 hour mini series version that they aired a few years ago (not the movie with Sting in it). FYI (US west coast schedule), they repeat part 1 tomorrow evening (7PM) just before part 2 (shown at 9PM, 11PM and 1AM) and on Tuesday evening part 2 jsut before part 3. Next Sunday (March 23), they repeat the whole thing in one tweleve hour block (Dune & Children) starting at 11AM. Steve

Christian, The son ain't the father, that's for sure. I've read the prequels, but they are ordinary...very ordinary. ----------------------------- "I leave no turn un-stoned." - John Simmons, Nov 6 2001 -----------------------------
