I hope you are right. In any sane world, that can be the only possible truth.

Everyone ever made in the past has sucked. Outside of that, there's no reason to avoid making one.

It's not that - I think I may even have seen a few video game movies. But Tetris? TETRIS?!

There is nothing I can say about this. It must simply be reported - in all its mind-numbing stupidity. Block-buster: Tetris is being made into an "epic sci-fi movie"[^]

It's not my money being invested into this, so I say go ahead. The producers are the ones taking the chances. If it works out for them; great, if not; no skin off my teeth. :| And who knows, it might even end up being a movie worth seeing

It's the same company that made the Mortal Kombat movies. I think it's safe to say it's gonna suck.

Never seen them myself, but the first Mortal Kombat movie cost $18M1 and grossed $70M in the USA alone. Not too shabby. But like usual, they did not quit while they were ahead and tried to make a sequel2 that did not do as well. 1http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113855/business?ref_=tt_dt_bus[^] 2http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119707/business?ref_=tt_dt_bus[^]

Well yeah, makes sense. The first one people didn't know what they were getting into. You buy a ticket because of the popularity of the title, realize you just got shafted, go home. For round two people wised up.

Imagine the possibilities: next movies might be based on DX-ball, minesweeper or snake.

Well they made a drama from Farcebook, well not them but the industry, and with the mortal combat experience it should get bloody and it is sci fi so... Oh you were expecting a plot, silly bugger!

Alternatively, wouldn't it be nice if all that money were spent on something worthwhile? (I'm willing to assist with scripts for a Firefly revival)
