If you love rules and order you might want to reflect on the rule of today as you find yourself in the world of internet :-\ Today we reflect on #11 of Rulez of CodeProject 11: Pedantry is to be encouraged. If you have any more ideas on rules to add just leave a comment, rules can be found here

If it's a rule, then it should be in the imperative, i.e. Let pedantry be encouraged.

I wanna be a eunuchs developer! Pass me a bread knife!

CDO would want people that can spell Firstly, I found a picture of you 'helping' someone online Thirdly, I would like to refer you to rule #42A: A dead person can't learn anything unless he is resurrected as a zombie.

Present perfect. Pedantry is to be encouraged, what has happened does not matter, it is to be from this day. You are the weakest link, good bye

Why the colon? Surely if it's part of a numbered list you should have a period instead of a colon, no? Also should a numbered list have a period at the end of each list item? :wtf:

That looks suspiciously like VB to me: Let pedantry = encouraged.

Lovely, So this is you... Pedant Troll[^]. In his imagination, pedant troll is the very exemplar of reason, balance and moderation. He feels effortlessly superior to the ridiculous, extremist, purblind fool whose blog he haunts, and whom he likes to put down with his killer sarcasm, weapons-grade pedantry and niggling little quibbles masquerading as constructive criticism. If he were really as brilliant as he thinks he is, he would at the very least have a major blog of his own by now, and more likely be King of the World. Strangely, he has yet to achieve either of these things. :suss:

Maybe, but I wouldn't call you an extremist purblind fool. I was thinking more along the lines that code doesn't tolerate fuzzy and that we drive users nuts when we harass them for clarification on their loose requirements language.

Life is like a s**t sandwich; the more bread you have, the less s**t you eat.

That looks suspiciously like VB to me: Let pedantry = encouraged.
