    Neither?

Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

It appears the Wail Online only puts up crap that's calculated to get a reaction. What does amaze me is that it is so popular, probably something to do with appealing to the lowest common denominator IQ.

People are offended way too easily. I don't think most of those cards should be within a child's grasp. As a Christian I'm not offended by the messages. I won't be buying them though.

          Offensively funny? Funnily offensive?

I used to always read the Enid Stannit and I never really noticed how it slid down hill. Now that I only see it occasionally, it is visibly kack. I wonder if it's related to the Wail? :innocent:

I'm amazed at just how far they will go to find something to be offended by. I don't imagine many people who would be offended by these items actually receive one. I'm sure most of the market is for lads sending to their mates, not their aunties. DS

For elephanting elephants' sake! "Holy shit" is now obscene? Child porn is obscene. Colourful language is just that. Colourful.

It is surely true that many people find certain words offensive These include shit fuck cunt arsehole and others. whether or not you agree with that is certainly your choice. But surely it is only the polite thing to do to respect other peoples sensibilities? Or do you swear in front of children and is it OK if they swear too? What if they tell their teacher they didn't do their homework because they were "fucked"? should the teacher just chastise them for not doign homework but for using inappropriate language?

Then they have every right to not buy those cards, or if it is so bad, they are even free to not frequent or buy anything from shops that display them.

You do have a good point here. There is indeed some risk that very young children may see these words in the same light-hearted context their parents do, and assume they can use them anywhere as a joke as well.
