I listen to NPR every now and thanks to WMP. Now even more often since it's war time. I just have one comment on the radio station; it's a pretty boring in how it's "presented". From a fairly objective (and perhaps an ignorant) perspective, I find it quite neutral. But then again, I'm a leftist/liberal european. ;) -- Shine, enlighten me - shine Shine, awaken me - shine Shine for all your suffering - shine

Any recommendations for a web site that delivers quality news, not sensored (self-sensored or otherwise), verified, not politically biased (or at least presents multiple viewpoints), etc? I know, I'm probably asking for too much. Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

Yup, go there all the time, but I'm left feeling like I'm getting only the Republican version of the news. And I am SO sick of seeing Michael Jackson's face on the Entertainment section (oh wait, it's actually been missing for a couple of days now!). Marc Help! i don't watch Fox news, (why would i trust the news from the same network who gave us Married By America, Joe Millionaire and Boot Camp ? ) but do those two actually come across as "liberal" ? i've heard those reporters' stories on NPR, but they're usually the on-the-scene kind of reports where there's not much room for editorializing. -c

Chris Losinger wrote: but do those two actually come across as "liberal" ? Very. There is a segment to the Brit Hume show, airs at 6 PM EST. This segment is 45 minutes into the newscast where the panel discusses the current hot issue. The panel will usually include Mara, Jaun (both drive me around the bend), Mort Kondrake (honest middle of the road guy, publishes Roll Call), Bill Kristol or Fred Barnes (both of the Weekly Standard, very conservative) or some other conservative, which sometimes comes from the Wall Street Journal. Fun to watch, regardless of the side you take. Sometimes gets heated but not with the strident approach on CNN's Crossfire. By the way, a similar panel is on Sunday, 9:00AM (Indianapolis anyway) that is hosted by Tony Snow - the normal Fox network, not FoxNews, although it does air later in the day Sunday on FoxNews. I tend to be pretty conservative, tend to vote Republican, but consider myself independent. Actually though I would agree with you about NPR, they do a good job covering the news, usually from all sides. There can be a liberal bias sometimes, but I think that the advantage with them is they cover the topics in greater depth than a lot of other sources who stick with "sound bites". Well I am to a certain degree. I like some of their points in their manifest - especially their plans for small business/companies. However, I'm not willing to lower any taxes without any good and solid plan on how to cover the state finance. That's where my liberal/socialdemocrat ideas come into the picture. Does that make me a democrat or republican on your political scale?
