You ask a 19-year old musician what kind of music he plays, and he responds, "Nothing you would like." :sigh:

Are you sure he didn't say 'Nothing you would hear'? ;P

That doesn't make you old, it makes him an a-hole :) Ultimately there's only one person who can decide if you like a certain style of music and that's you. I've been at the biggest metal festival in Europe and I've witnessed an 80+ or so grandpa in leather jacket walking the festival terrain with his walking rack  The 19-year old musician could've had a new fan and instead of posting about being old you could be posting about his fantastic music right now, which potentially could've make him even more fans :) Or perhaps he knew he sucked

That's nothing. About 6 years ago, I got on the bus and a woman soldier gave up her seat for me!* * I was only 44 at the time, but I must have looked terrible that day.

I do and prefer them over the STL (I also use VS6, which is not very compatible with STL. Not my choice.) as I know their reliability or lack of so and their working and logic. They are simple and allow me to easily use their features without having to modify much in my code.

Are you sure he was a musician? It could be:

                                      • They can't play at all, so "nothing you'd like" would be accurate
                                      • They play so badly that it should have been "nothing that anybody likes"
                                      • Nobody actually likes what he plays, but it's clever so people pretend to like it; a sort of "Emperor's New Clothes" effect (and he's actually honest about it)
                                      • He is mistaken and it's possible you would like it
                                      • He plays something that's so weird that only an obvious visual minority would like it

Come to think of it, that last point does cover young trend followers. In any case, he's a jerk!

Indeed. I'm pissed that I won't be in Germany these coming months. I wanted to catch at least a few of the Crüxshadows shows. No one in the band, at least, minds my age. :p

We won't sit down. We won't shut up. We won't go quietly away. YouTube and My Mu[sic], Films and Windows Programs, etc.

A few shows even? Wow, you must really like the Crüxshadows... I know their song Deception (and like it quite a bit) and that's where my Crüxshadows knowledge ends :) But there's some good darkwave out there

...and if he's playing outside on a sidewalk collecting money in a hat, the proper answer is "apparently neither does anybody else"
