I need an icon editor for my app. Nothing fancy, just basic icons! I was using IcoFX but it seems you have to pay for it now... Any alternatives to suggest?

I use the Greenfish Icon Editor. It's free and even open source.

Don't you know any good commandline icon editor you can recommend?

You're welcome - I use it as my standard image editing tool. It's simple, it does support layers, and does not have lots of extra stuff that an amateur like me does not need.

Or even better: Why do you need icons at all? Why not just work on the command line?

The link for the plugin on the "fishofprey.com" site is broken - it just goes to a "buy this domain" page.

Build a nice tall wall with them, and stand next to it while I go and get the bulldozer.
