Nah, not the same as, for example, in the intro to Hunt for Red October. Marc

...ever typed 'clear' in a Windows Console to clear the screen, and simply got an error? I just compiled a 'clear.exe' executable with MinGW-w64, and I will share it if anyone wants it (I use Msys2 and Linux quite a bit, and I often type clear in a cmd.exe instance)

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question? The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism. Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

Agreed; an EXE sounds like overkill. Back in the DOS days, I used to have a whole collection of these...the one that got invoked the most is probably "tyep.bat"

The only thing I do with a Windows Console is wondering why we still use it... And it seems like a trend, MongoDB, Node.js, npm, Bower... They all need that stinking console! I prefer spending my time doing useful stuff instead of looking up and memorizing all kinds of commands and copy-pasting long paths and file names from my browser to my console (which doesn't even work with ctrl v!)...

I spend most of my time in the console. It's a dark place.

Just add Clink[^] and ConEmu[^] and many issues will be solved.
