Does anyone know of a mp3 player for the PC that remembers where you stopped listening? I listen to hour long spoken word/speech files and it is annoying trying to remember if I was 20 or 30 minutes in. :-D Davy Blog for Software Testing, Bugs, Quality, Security and Stability - www.latedecember.com

I took a quick look at the media player properties and methods and found a property CurrentPosition. Just write a simple application with the Media Player ActiveX control. Set a timer that goes off every 5 seconds or so, and get CurrentPostion. When your app exits, save that somewhere. Next time you start up, just set the CurrentPosition with your saved value. One gotcha I noticed is that you can't set CurrentPostion immediately after calling Open on the MediaPlayer object. You have to wait a few seconds.

Tommy: Doesn't it make you proud to be Scottish? Renton: It's shite being Scottish. We're the lowest of the low. The scum of the fuckin' earth. Most people hate the English. I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are colonised by wankers. We can't even find a decent culture to be colonised by. It's a shite state of affairs to be in, Tommy, and no amount of fresh air is gonna' make any fuckin' difference * Ok ok ok you figured me out. Trying to downplay Scotland... even though it is my ancestral home and I just promised half of it to some guy I never met... *sigh*

Leave your system running, and hit Pause. Actually. like mentioned above, It seems like writing a quick app wouldn't be that hard to do. I just watched that movie last week for the first time. Excellent flick! Although the toilet scene was quite a bit disturbing... :wtf: --BM Give a man a fire, and he stays warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he stays warm for the rest of his life.

Quotes from Trainspotting[^] Indeed a great movie. Have watched it about 6 times now. And yes, the worst toilet in Scotland was very disturbing, though the music was awesome! *Paul loads up the Trainspotting soundtrack.. again.. :-D*
