Thoughts about cloud seeding

As some of you know from a previous post that we are experiencing drought conditions here on the Korat Plateau in an area known as Issan, a tribal area in the Northeast of Thailand. The Thai Royal Air Force is seeding the clouds to try to get some rain to fall. This has generally been unsuccessful only producing very black ominous clouds with little or no rainfall. Last night we did get some very light rain for about five minutes - not hardly enough to help with the crops. My wife and I were sitting out in the car port at her Mom's house waiting for the rain to stop so we could go home on some bicycles and she mentioned that it wasn't natural rain. It didn't have a fresh smell. I had to agree it didn't smell fresh like rain should. Now I am becoming paranoid about the residual chemicals in the unnatural rain that results from cloud seeding. :(

Well some "Paranoid People" say that the governments are working on such chemicals to control the weather (for war) and to fill it up with toxins to make people sick or kill them. I am concerned but wont get to much into this, its only a theory so far.

All of the chemicals used for cloud seeding are used in (relatively) tiny amounts - the controlling factor is not bulk, but surface area, so a very fine powder will work better than a lump. If the seeding results in rain, you will have a tiny amount of residue in the rainwater - not enough to worry about. If the seeding does not result in rain, it will be spread even further by the winds. I doubt that you have much to worry about.

I looked up the materials commonly used in cloud seeding and all I can tell - do not afraid... Until rain finally will come you will grow a pair of gills and will be able to go home without any bicycle and in the hardest rain too...
