It looks very good... This could help in all my Serviio/LAN streaming... as it looks like it supports all the formats under the sun. What I've not seen is that it is compatible with Netflix... not in Spain but not in any other place too... Is it compatible with Netflix in your country?

That's an option... another one would be a RaspberryPi or similar and control it from the phone... Yours is in fact the best in terms of supported formats, openess, new services... the problem is the comfort in the couch... which after working all the day with computers I would like to have...

Won't 10mbps DSL be enough? It is what we have in our small village... It works with our current FullHD streaming service...

:laugh: That would be the way to get one... Mrs. Wife... we need an XBOX... you know it is only for Netflix... :laugh: No... I've never had a console and I won't start it right now... I just don't have time to play games, but if they would not be so expensive it would be an option.

Ah you see, my laptop is not a work one and doesn't travel with me. In fact it mostly lives on a little table next to the TV when not being used for something. I had to talk my wife through getting it on the TV yesterday. She coped with plugging it in but didn't know how to get the display on the TV.

That is just in the US I think. At least in the UK their licensing and content is different and won't be affected by that decision.

You can get an HTPC case, then it just looks like another stereo component. If you auto-run Kodi or similar, you never have to see Windows :) Kodi has add-ons that let you run it from an Android / iOS device through the network if you want...kinda neat but I still prefer my mini-wireless keyboard and keep my tablet for surfing the net while I watch TV. Kodi also has an add-on that lets you run Netflix inside Kodi...I haven't tried it, myself.

The Western Digital WD TV Live Plus model supports Netflix in US, Canada and Australia, and perhaps other countries. See this[^] PC Mag review. But I think it's best to confirm Netflix Spain support with Western Digital before buying it. /ravi

I use the Xbox (or kindle). My kid uses his Wii, but he also has a blue ray player that will do it. Both the Xbox and the blue ray can connect to the wire, but the wii can only use wireless. Last weekend I finally got around to hooking up a wireless router just for the kid's many devices.

No because it's already half the service they get in the US (or rather have been getting up to now).
