Which version is the Nexus 7? And if it doesn't give you loads of grief, can you let me know? When I put it on my 2012 version (the one with the single camera) it locked up often, reset itself frequently, and was a general purpose Elephanting PITA. I went back to 4.4 and it's been fine since.

Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Got 3 x Gen I and 1 x Gen I with SIM slot. All running 5.1.1 though not being used extensively. The Missus just plays shite games on hers, both kids had to get iPad Airs for school. I have the SIM slot one and it sits in my work bag and comes out when I have to check something that the phone won't do for or I want to piss about myself. <EDIT> I had upgraded to 5.0.2 then 5.1 prior to 5.1.1 and they all seemed to be fine. </EDIT>

I can't handle the new font. I'm not saying the old logo[^] was much better, nor the spelling[^], but I keep hovering over the logo expecting to see a tooltip that explains that the logo celebrates kids books. Sorry. :sigh: For an animated history of Google's logo just do a Google Search[^]. Clever chaps.

I don't like it either. Seems like they are drinking the kool-aid of minimalist design (flat/ugly) like MS! But...it's still free, and my search engine of choice. :)

... shrink it to 305 bytes in its special variant[^]. And the best way way they chose was to - 'Remove all serifs'.

It's fair to say, Google's use of the word isn't the first time this spelling was used. Google was used as the name of a bun by Enid Blyton in the Faraway Tree. Link[^]

Almost like they (Google and MS) are trying to go back to Windows 1.0.

It really isn't. I read the books to my daughters when they were younger.

It's difficult to believe that a not-small group of adults masturbated together for over a week on that logo.

Ewww. So that's what the "goo" root of the word is. But this makes sense since the webs is so much mental masturbation.

It's worse than that. Having contemplated Rothko, my conclusion is that someone intended for the thing to cause eye pain.
