I don't like it either. Seems like they are drinking the kool-aid of minimalist design (flat/ugly) like MS! But...it's still free, and my search engine of choice. :)

Almost like they (Google and MS) are trying to go back to Windows 1.0.

I can't handle the new font. I'm not saying the old logo[^] was much better, nor the spelling[^], but I keep hovering over the logo expecting to see a tooltip that explains that the logo celebrates kids books. Sorry. :sigh: For an animated history of Google's logo just do a Google Search[^]. Clever chaps.

It really isn't. I read the books to my daughters when they were younger.

"Minimalist" - has the lowest common denominator ever been an improvement? X|

I updated my Nexus 7 to Android 5.1.1 a couple of days ago, Google is still in the old font at start up. Looks much better than the new shite. Gay is the word I think you are looking for to describe it.

I think the manufacturer of these fridge magnets should sue for breach of copyright. http://www.creoff.net/static/img/labs/screenshot_fridgemagnets.jpg[^]

It's difficult to believe that a not-small group of adults masturbated together for over a week on that logo.

Ewww. So that's what the "goo" root of the word is. But this makes sense since the webs is so much mental masturbation.

It's worse than that. Having contemplated Rothko, my conclusion is that someone intended for the thing to cause eye pain.

Gay? As in happy/excited or attracted to fonts of the same type? All good either way.
