Is there a quick way to find if a smartphone's being owned by a guy or a lady? What signs you'll for when you are asked to solve this puzzle? :)
Starting to think people post kid pics in their profiles because that was the last time they were cute - Jeremy.
Is it pink? If yes, then there you go. If not - Does it have any feminine extensions, perhaps an attached mirror or a heart sticker glued on - then there you go. See text messages - do they have a lot of "Aww", "Cute", {other feminine adjectives here}? - then there you go. See if it has any feminine apps (CandyCrush, the one with a jumping unicorn, etc) installed - then there you go. These distinctions should suffice the purpose. :laugh:

My current phone is my ever first 'smart' phone - it is less than one year old...Before that I had a simple flip-phone from Samsung... My phones are smart because I use them in a smart way - if not these are only a piece of metal does not matter what version number sticked to it...

What if it's a male that acts in a stereotypical gay way. Recently I've met a lot of people who acts like they where straight out of some tv show. :) I think this is the way to guess the gender of the owner with a high probability of success but we have to consider these edge cases.

Look at the case - if it's predominantly pink, or has pictures of kittens, kids or other cute animals, it is likely to belong to a lady

Just see the photo albums.. and use this formula Number of selfie pic of woman > Man = Lady's phone

If I may tweak your algorithm a bit the gender ratio (gr) can be defined as such gr = (df \ dp) the more the gr exceeds 200 the more you can be sure the owner is female, the more the gr drops below 0.2 the more sure you can be the owner is male. In the gr equation "df" is the number of "Duck Face" selfies in the gallery and "dp" is the number of dick pics.

If it is an iPhone then it is owned by a woman, a homosexual, or a celebrity. Easiest way, check the browser / twitter history for images of gentleman's literature.

I am curious as to where you're seeing all these phones that are owned by someones but are not currently in their possession (since the person holding the thing would presumably be a bit of a giveaway)? Are you fencing stolen phones? Got a job in Lost and Found? What?

By the apps? Does it have Facebook, Candy Crush, etc. ? Additionally, is it secured?

Check the whatsapp received images - a higher number of topless women would indicate that it's a man's phone.

My current phone is my ever first 'smart' phone - it is less than one year old...Before that I had a simple flip-phone from Samsung... My phones are smart because I use them in a smart way - if not these are only a piece of metal does not matter what version number sticked to it...

I still use one of those Samsung flip phones. The screen and buttons are protected, unlike the smart phones that can place calls without your knowledge or crack under the weight of my fat ass. My provider keeps trying to convince me that I would be better off with a new phone on a plan that costs 1200%-1800% over the cost of my existing plan. For that amount, I could fly to Japan and buy a new flip phone off the shelf.
The difficult may take time, the impossible a little longer.
