"Ask techies for culinary ideas" So, I am stoopid then. We're off to a party this evening of the bring some food, they provide the drinks. It is Mrs Wife's work's "Santa Evening" so there are children and partners. I am already making puff pastry twists, very quick and easy - roll out pastry, put a filling in the middle, fold and roll again, then cut into strips and twist them before cooking for 10-15 minutes. Simples as. Now what fillings shall I do? I am already doing Nutella [sounds awful but works well] and Cheese & Herb. Please, any sane suggestions will be considered and top-shelf brain-dribblers will be taken up on. :-D So I've made: - Nutella: does what it says on the tin; children will be happy - Bacon & Garlic; not sure I shouldn't just leave them here, I'm sure no one will want any #innocentwhistle - Cheese & Herbs; good, not as good as I thought they'd be, but good.

Basil, mozzarella, and sun-dried tomato. Black olive tapenade. But Cheddar is probably the best! (I'd be tempted to make some sausage rolls as well, while I had the pastry ready...)
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Sausage rolls are not very Magyar. Imagine 50 Brits in forn-parts having a get together, they will want their own stodge, not foreign stodge! The pastries I can get away with, perfect Tesh food.

Bacon and shallot. Chop both, roast for a short time, apply some pepper, and fill the pastry.

Besides the cheese already mentioned, I've made these with Pesto Verde and Rosso. Green and Red, very christmassy. ;)

So you didn't mention bacon in your initial post because you took it as granted? Garlic is fine and may be also combined with shallot.

The jar of fermented cerebrum that's cracked from internal pressure after being forgotten for several years behind all the other stuff on the shelf and is now oozing down the back corner of your fridge from top to bottom. :-\
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies. -- Sarah Hoyt

It's 9:30am. I'm at the office and sober. What amazed me is that none of the other weirdos here took you up on what seemed to be an obvious setup line for a troll answer.

I was beginning to think I'd logged on to the wrong website as no-one had mentioned bacon! You are a saviour!
Bacon was mentioned in the OP.
