Sarin found in Iraq
-
Are other news organizations reporting this? I heard a different story, on NPR, about a few rockets found at the airport that contained either a nerve agent or mustard gas. I haven't found anything else at major web sites. One would think that this would be making headlines. Jason Henderson wrote: ... and no its not a CIA plant. If I were you, I would be disappointed if it didn't get voted down - considering the mindset of many of those who hang out here. Personnally, I consider it a point of pride to see my posts get low votes. "My job is to protect America" George W. Bush.

I don't see why your post was voted down, but sadly, with the recent "correction" of news, I would wait a few days until counting on it. btw. I never believed he was "clean" - He's got a few nasties left - even if this one's fake. (Though I doubt it can be found) I wonder why didn't he use them? Were they "misplaced" and not found, or did enough people (Saddam and his generals) have enough common sense not to use it?

I think it's that time of the day again. Pro-Saddam people are here. Wait till they leave, and things should be alright again. :) Kidding aside, don't worry about the voting too much. We will still read your posts, no matter what the rating.

Yup. Of course, that possibility was noted in the MSNBC report: But sarin is also used in low levels in pesticides, which were found at the camp, so it is not clear if the facility is a nerve agent site or merely an agricultural facility. http://www.msnbc.com/news/895392.asp[^] Now, we'll see if this turns out to be anything: http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml;jsessionid=CJK3HZAM200ZMCRBAE0CFFA?type=topNews&storyID=2521303[^] Too bad the AFP report didn't mention that sarin is used in low levels in some pesticides (which explains the fact that it tested positive for sarin). ------------------------------------------ "What happened in that Rhode Island club is shocking. sighist | Agile Programming | doxygenpeterchen wrote: I would wait a few days until counting on it Without a doubt. The news people are always in a rush to be the first to run the story...Kind of like shooting first and asking questions later. peterchen wrote: I wonder why didn't he use them? There is another possibility...Maybe the coalition forces were so effective in eliminating the Iraqi command and control, that the deployment couldn't be ordered until it was too late. "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - GandhiNot to say that Saddam does not have Sarin, but this particular instance was a hoax. Perhaps. But I pride myself on being a contrarian. By definition, the opinions of a contrarian must be unpopular. I purposefully seek out ways to frame arguments in such a way that agreement from any quarter will be minimal. Its just more fun... "My job is to protect America" George W. Bush.
